Project Abstract
DePaul Family and Community Services (DePaul FCS) is a full service community mental health clinic located on the campus of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Since its opening in 1974, DePaul FCS has been guided by its mission to “strengthens and empower families and communities through innovative, evidenced-based, community-oriented services and the training of culturally-competent, socially responsible professionals”. The Vincentian values at DePaul University are present in the clinical practices, trainings, and outreach efforts at DePaul FCS. The Vincentian values that have been promoted through DePaul University and DePaul FCS include a dedication to serving and helping marginalized populations and promoting awareness and understanding for the stressors that under resourced population’s experience. The primary programs available on-site of the clinic include psychological assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, play therapy, art therapy, and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT). This poster will aim to inform and analyze DePaul FCS’s organizational structure, therapy programs, client population, funding, and therapy outcomes.
