Description
Besides major metropolitan areas that have their incomes skewed by smaller pockets of affluence and poverty, there are some correlations between economic standing and the location of power plants according to this map. Areas that require power plants, including major cities, have a higher economic level than the hinterlands, such as the southeast, but the power plants are not placed directly in these areas. Power plants are located in the least affluent areas surrounding the city in most cases.
