Project Abstract
DePaul College Prep is a high school located in Lakeview. DePaul Prep’s namesake comes from its partnership with DePaul University developing a college-ready curriculum for high school students. As a guidance counselor intern, duties have been focused primarily on the counseling department and the college center. During this year, I have worked primarily with the senior student population helping prepare them for life after high school. Projects that I have worked on this year include assembling the Alumni Panel, decoration of college-of-the-month bulletin board, collecting and analyzing student data for college choice, preparation of Senior Decision Day, and observing basic counselor daily duties.
