Project Abstract

DePaul Family and Community Services aims to strengthen and empower families and communities through evidenced-based, community-oriented services. Through innovative practices DFCS provides services that enable families and communities to make change in their lives. DFCS also partners with other child-serving organizations and systems to achieve shared goals for the wellness of the children, families, and communities that are served. Strengthening the healthcare system, DFCS also trains socially responsible professionals who consider the multitude of social and environmental determinants of health and well-being. Through the various programs DFCS provides mental health services to children, adolescents, and families across the Chicagoland area. DFCS offers school based services, counseling services, psychological assessments, advocacy, case management, individual, group, family, couple, and play therapy. Along with these services, DFCS also has various specialty teams; Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Act and Adapt, The Cities Mentor Project, and the art therapy team.
