Description
Using data from the Chicago Department of Public Health Epidemiology & Public Health Informatics Program, Sydney Thai generated three maps for his GEO441: GIS for Community Development course. The third map displays Prenatal Care and Low-Weight Births in Chicago by community area. According to the map, community areas located on the west, southwest, and southeast sides of the city have the highest percentage of Low-Weight Births. These areas also have relatively high percentages of births with prenatal care beginning after the 1st trimester or not at all.
