Abstract
After his generalate, James Richardson chose to join the Midwest Province in the United States because it was likely to accept a mission in Kenya, and he had a profound interest in that. He went to Kenya on the province’s behalf to investigate the mission, was instrumental in the province’s acceptance of it, and served there himself. Hugh O’Donnell discusses Richardson’s devotion to the mission.
