Abstract
The time’s acting superior general Richard McCullen recalls James Richardson’s personal qualities and accomplishments. He describes Richardson’s respect for the perspective of every individual. Richardson was responsible for the revised constitutions of the Vincentians and the Daughters of Charity. He was also part of a group of superiors general who “established the distinct identity of the Societies for Apostolic Life” and who worked for their recognition in the Code of Canon Law.
