In his homily at the funeral mass for former superior general William Slattery, Superior General Richard McCullen recalls Slattery’s virtues as evidenced in the events of his life and his actions. He cites Slattery’s cheerfulness in the face of suffering, his obedience to God’s will and his desire to accomplish it, his devotion to Mary, and his own holiness.
