The Seton Writings Project is a product of the Sisters of Charity Federation, whose four-volume collection of Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton’s writings was published between 2000 and 2006. These volumes can be read in full on the Via Sapientiae repository by clicking here.

The project’s second phase is the collection of letters to and about Elizabeth Seton, her extended family and family by marriage, community members, advisers, and others. To date, the Project Committee has identified over 1,000 relevant documents, including some written before her birth and after her death, in at least fifteen archives in the United States and Canada. In preparation for the publication of these letters, the Project Committee is publishing charts listing date, sender, recipient, letter location, and the letters' first line.
