Abstract
This volume presents the proceedings of a unique congress bringing specialists in conservation and the management of archaeological heritage from around the world together with the major theme of conservation for the first time. Nine resolutions calling for the integration of archaeological and conservation practice came out of the congress and are now included in the statutes of WAC.
