Volume 14, Number 1 (2011)

Volume 14 is a sociological/political approach to poverty and inequality among Latinos in the Midwest, with some comparison to other U.S. regions, on the lack of integration of Latinos into various U.S. regional societies and economies. Articles and data study the Chicago metropolitan area, focusing on the dimensions of education, labor market, civic engagement, and spatial distribution. Despite some limitations of data available, new facts and hypotheses illuminate potential innovative paths for research and social policy.
