Aims & Scope
DePaul Discoveries is a scholarly journal published annually by the DePaul University
College of Science and Health in Chicago, Illinois that features undergraduate student research from our institution. The opportunity to publish original research, with faculty mentorship and peer-review, increases student engagement in research and learning about key processes involved in publishing.
DePaul Discoveries provides an important vehicle to celebrate our undergraduate student research and raise awareness and global accessibility of their outstanding work.
Overseen by an editorial board comprised of faculty from each of the departments of the college, journal submissions are peer reviewed by a combination of faculty and students.
DePaul Discoveries publishes original research in the biological, physical, environmental, and health sciences; psychology and mathematics, as well as literature reviews and other creative works.
DePaul Discoveries does not accept term papers or course assignments as research manuscripts, although this work may inspire independent research. Recent DePaul University alumni may submit a paper if the majority of the work was done while an undergraduate student at DePaul University.
