Description

Giclée print on paper and vellum

The central trick of human perception is that it feels like a faithful reflection of the external world, however our senses are demonstrably fallible and cognitive factors unconsciously influence our interpretations. If every observation is limited in scope and tinted with artifacts of our own creation, what are the implications? In this artwork deteriorating patterns of songbirds create a visual interference of form and color that is an entry point into the malleability of perception.
