Abstract

This paper offers a global view of the US legal system regarding the religious factor. The paper summarizes the legal framework of evolution, from colonial dominical rules or Blue Laws to the current regulation of freedom of religion. The analysis offers a systematic integration of the diverse legal sources (eg Executive Orders, Public Acts / Bills, and Cases of Judicial Law). And it evaluates the allegedly paradoxical policies in this field of the last two Administrations (CLINTON and W. BUSH).
