Six recipients of liberal arts and science scholarships line a balcony at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Lincoln Park during the honors convocation at the start of the 1953 school year: Melba Bodden, Margaret Leamy, Joan Riesbeck, John Sampson, Donald Costello and Eileen Riordan.
