Abstract
Doria Daniels, professor of educational psychology at South Africa's Stellenbosch University, joined the College of Education as a visiting scholar in October 2014. Daniels elaborated on her visual-based research on parent engagement at schools during her visit and worked with Karen Monkman, professor of educational policy studies and research at DePaul, on developing a framework to research parent engagement on a global level. Both scholars praised the value of cross-cultural educational exchange.
