Founded in 1972 to increase access for adult students, the School for New Learning (SNL) is an interdisciplinary college at DePaul University that serves students 24 or older through a competency-based design. We offer a competency-based master’s degree (Master of Arts in Applied Professional Studies) and four competency-based undergraduate programs. The four include a Bachelor of Arts with an Individualized Focus Area (BAIFA) and three joint degrees with other DePaul Colleges - a BA in Computing, a BA in General Business and a BA in Early Childhood Education.
