Project Abstract

U.S. residents might purport their state or region to have a specific culture that is distinct from other areas. But is the lived experience in one state or region particularly different from another? One aspect of life experience is how attached one feels to a physical place. Why are certain places more meaningful than others and how might this impact one’s life experience? The current study attempts to find if individuals’ place attachment differs as a function of the state or U.S. region they reside in.
