Aims & Scope
DePaul Discoveries is a scholarly journal published annually by the College of Science and Health of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. DePaul Discoveries increases undergraduate involvement in research by providing an opportunity to publish original research in a recognized academic journal. By showcasing our undergraduate student research, we create awareness of the outstanding work being done and increase access to this work around the world. DePaul Discoveries also serves as a vehicle to guide undergraduate students through the review and publication process so essential to their professional disciplines.
Overseen by an editorial board comprised of faculty from each of the departments of the college, journal submissions are peer reviewed by a combination of faculty and students. DePaul Discoveries publishes original research in the biological, physical, environmental, and health sciences; psychology and mathematics, as well as literature reviews and other creative works. DePaul Discoveries does not accept term papers or course assignments as research manuscripts, although this work may inspire independent research. Recent DePaul University alumni may submit a paper if the majority of the work was done while an undergraduate student at DePaul University.
